I think it is worth the money. Type in £3500 to £4000 into Autotrader and look at the options - Peugeot 107 anyone?

I do have a couple of questions. Is it possible to update the satnav, and does anyone do a workshop manual?

🤓👍

def_fid, the latest version of the CD-Rom was produced in 1999, after this for the 430 and beyond the DVD was adopted. There are a couple of the CD on eBay. Remember they don't do postcodes.

I find myself using the Iphone Waze App plugged into the cigar lighter socket, much of the online traffic info is derived from Waze these days. It is clever, but I mourn the loss of the Elvis voice.

Uh huh huh

Not sure if this is relevent: the version of the satnav CD in my '98 Mk4 is somehow better than the one in my '00 Mk4. Not just the road data, but it includes some sort of 'breadcrumb' display (useful for backtracking in an are you don't know).

Should check this out more closely - might be a display option I've overlooked. Any ideas?

For everyday transport, the Duster is the best car I've ever had. Value, quality of construction, driving. It's a great car. But it's no limo!

Beautiful car, same colour as mine, and in my opinion the best colour ever for the LS.  And regardless of what Lexus bring out, the MK4 seats are just as good as you can get, just superb.

We're actually very lucky to be living at a time when these cars are available for relatively little money.  I can't think of too much from the past that comes close, and as for the future, hmmm...

Yes that is a dilemma, what after the LS400?

Long term bereavement I'm guessing!  Although I do like the GS series so maybe there's a possibility.  I've just had mine serviced by a Jaguar specialist who was in awe of the way it drove, so that means a Jag is out!

Got a lift back from the Lexus garage in a GS 300h - a very quiet car on electric and comfortable .......... just a thought??

I know a Lexus specialist who drives a GS430. He accepted it in part payment and it is now his daily driver. He wasn't interested in an LS430. Sorry

I can guess who that was, he said the same to me, when he did my exhaust a couple of years ago.
