Some iPhone help please

I am just wondering if anyone on here can help me to get the photo's/videos from my Iphone onto my computer please.

I have tried the apple Forum but I can't seem to get an answer.

Thanks in advance of any input.

Use Dropbox or some other icloud a like option?

I don't have an Iphone, so that'll be the extend of my input...

HI,

If you connect the phone to the computer using the USB charging cable then you should be able to see the photos on the computer like a USB pen drive in file manager.

May be in a sub folder DCIM or similar. Don't use i-tunes.

Thanks for your input Paul. I have tried this before and it has never worked but hey! today it has and I can see all of the photo's on my camera via the DCIM folder. Am I now able to transfer these permanently to my pc so that I can view and edit via a suitable programme?

Regarding my last post above, ignore it!!!!! I thought that it had worked but I hadn't realised that I had unplugged my Iphone and plugged in my camera! How stupid is that eh!

Anyway I have plugged my phone in again and, as has been the case previously it is not showing in the directory tree and so I still cannot get at the photo's.

Any further thoughts anyone? I don't want to use iTunes

Hi Geoff

I'm afraid your Windows computer won't talk to the Iphone without a USB device driver for the Iphone. AFAIK, the only simple way of getting this driver is to install iTunes.
