Now I know there are one or two on here who have a vast knowledge on this subject @Flytvr and @Mark G to name but two.

My self er no but I do know what a sundial looks like.

So apparently Lexus did a run of watches in 2008 for the release of the car and were given to valued employees etc and presumably good customers @Flytvr go to the back of the que 😂

Anyway the original design is believed to be this style in the second two pics and the others presumably are just sort of novelty items I guess, Christmas stocking list anyone.

I do love a good accessory, I like the top one, the middle one I've seen on eBay, £29.99 and I think might melt above 25 degrees. The last one looks nicely made but not my style. Let horology experts Mark and Dav give their opinions....

I've seen the first two on eBay and in a dealers.  To my eye they just look quite cheap and tacky, mind you given they are quite cheap to buy no harm in getting one if you like that kind of thing.  I guess if a quality watch marque did an 'F' watch it would be quite desirable, but I don't find many of the car derived watches that appealing.

The first one pictured looks ok for a day to day use I suppose, at the end of the day though it will be a relatively cheap quartz watch, each to their own though.

Depends on what you call expensive @Big Rat around $16,000 US so in the great scheme of things no.

However this sold for $5.5 million US in 2010

@Mark G That's very nice but I'm thinking when I'm down in a mud filled ditch in the depths of winter and its hoofing down with rain I'd be better off with something just a little less expensive 😃

Well I do have 5 watches myself and I'm certainly not a rich man, dispite the rumours 😑. All of mine are under £250 but you can get some nice pieces if you shop around.

Totally agree.  I have a citizen eco drive that was fairly cheap but i wear regularly and have a Rolex i wear every day.  I went through a phase of buying tags and breitlings that never see the light of day and it's a shame really, nice watches should be worn!!!!!

Looking back, don't think i would buy any more dear ones as they really are a work of art and i love my Rolex Oyster so much i wouldn't wear them
