Has anyone used a either a boot bag https://boot-bag.com/index.htm or boot rack https://boot-bag.com/luggage_racks.htm on their GS?

Just stumbled across them whilst looking at roof racks, again.

I'm not liking the idea of the boot mounted bag on the paint and the straps seem like they'll limit the already small boot. The rack is a maybe but would have a smaller capacity than a roof rack. Both would limit access to the boot too.

I can see why convertible owners might want to use them, but on a normal saloon, I'd sooner stick with a roof rack.

A convertible probably has a bigger boot than a Hybrid GS 😛

I think the boot rack has a few good points vs a roof rack. For smaller loads it should be more aero dynamic. The rack is also smaller and easier to store, especially once you've reached your destination.

Tiny capacity for large costs. The big bag going 75litres, that's not even a full size hiking bag. On the roof I say, do it right and do it once. Storage at other end not an issue, stays on car. At home, in shed or garage, with stuff in and uses next to no space, plus a roof box can go to next car, got to be a winner.
