Gonna book my ISF in for its service next month but not sure as to which it needs.

Its currently on 50k miles and is a 2008 model.

From the service history the last few are as follows;

2013: 50k service £177+vat and £93+vat parts/consumables.

2014: 40k service £258+vat and £194+vat parts/consumables.

2015: 50k service £128+vat and £118+vat parts/consumables.

2016: 60k service £479+vat and £267+vat parts/consumables.

Also, any decent deals on engine oil at the moment?

Spark plugs were done last year alongside air filter, as far as I can see air filter is done every other year.

Your mileage at the service points doesn't make sense, or am I missing something?

Looks like it's an intermediate service next. Supposedly the cheaper one.

The service list is in your manual I believe.

That's just the service interval mileage that they quote on the paperwork. They list the sevices on mileage instead of time assuming you cover 10k a year, but mine had covered about half that.

According to the Lexus website the servicing prices are as follows;

20k £445

40k £495

60k £745

80k £495

100k £595

with a £275 intermediate at 10, 30, 50, 70, 90k etc

Ask for an intermediate.

That adds up to a lot of money......glad I do my own......:phew:

Intermediate is next but the servicing still doesn't appear correct to me.

2014 should have been the 60k (or 6 year service) including spark plugs and 2015 the 70k and so on. It looks like the 40k service has been repeated because the 60k is the big one with plugs but it's time or mileage (10k or 1 year intervals - whichever comes first) not just mileage. Probably won't make much difference though - it's a Lexus after all!

Absolutely agree!! Especially all they do is basic oil and filter change plus a quick check over for the intermediate service, not to mention the 60K service is just an additional spark plugs and that's £700 plus, way too much money for what it's worth.

I may go down the independent specialist route from my next service on.

The servicing doesn't look right to me either. Shouldn't matter whether its a low mileage for its age car or not but the 60k should be done at 6 years of age regardless of whether the car is at 40k or 60k at that point in time.

In 2017 you would require the 90k Intermediate service if everything was done properly before at £275.

You can do essential servicing but some dealers don't stamp the book and give you a certificate instead. However, some will stamp the book and write "Lexus Essential Servicing" in the box as well. Others have a completely different stamp for it!

@Tom24 Tom looked at my service records and all mine bar one have the Shell you mentioned, mines a 59 plate had its 40k service done in January when the mileage was 35.5k, came to just over £400.00, for your info.

Always used Fuchs Titan in the GTR and was good but heard good things about miller oils also.

If the dealer uses shell however then can't go wrong with it

All booked in at Lexus Coventry...rang around the Midlands dealers and they offered the best price of £199 including MOT if I supply my own oil.

The bloke I spoke to recommended the Shell stuff as that's what they use.

I use GM Dexos 2, 5W 30, fully synthetic on all the families cars.

Buy it for about £65 for a box of 4 x 5 litres at a  local Vauxhall specialist.
