Surely it doesn't help that the cars just don't die like the German counterparts so the incentive to change after 3 years isn't as great?

Precisely as I see it, having had more Germans than was good for my bank balance on the basis , when I was younger and naive that they were 'well built and engineered' not.

In hindsight looking on the German forums the expectation that a fault was present was normal.  Rattling turbos, vanos issues, yet customers pay up

 

i genuinely think that whilst they do tend to give a great driving "feel" I'm pleased to drive a lexus and don't want too many vag/Bm/mb drivers joining my club, and bribing a general lack of indication whilst turning and not filtering to allow traffic to flow smoothly...:wink3:

Ah so you have noticed all this as well, got stuck on the off ramp junction 19 M5 this morning there were 3 bms an Audi and a Mercedes to my left, as I was bored bearing in mind the traffic was crawling I noticed all of them were on mobiles and not one was indicating when changing lanes/ entering the Cribbs Roundabout.

I accept it's the Marque of vehicle we are discussing, but all were nearly new vehicles undoubtedly fitted with Bluetooth pairing hands free of some discription.

No use increasing the penalties if no one is around to deal with it.

It's the type of driver that the marque of vehicle attracts that does my head in !!  You appear to have grown up now Paul...ahem !!

Indeed I have and I shall take that as a compliment, don't get many as a builder nowadays 😂
