Would it be possible or desirable to limit the time posters have for editing their posts? I ask as some seem to edit posts long after others have replied or quoted the post, this can make replies seem irrelevant or quotes appear confusing.

In addition to the above, or separately could the edit be time stamped, so others can see when the changes were made? This then would show if the edit was made after the replies posted or quotes taken. Perhaps a 'grace' period of say 1min could be given before time stamping begins to allow the composer to correct typos or grammatical error?
