It's probably marketing. Good news we'll give you a good trade in if you buy a new one. Or it could be. Good news you car tax stays at £10 if you don't buy a new one.

Yep, its from my local dealer so doesn't appear to be from Lexus UK.

Probably is - would be so annoying if they said "good news is that your car stays at £10 to tax per year"!

It's an offer from Lexus UK - they will have certain models available new at a really good discount, usually used to reward selected existing customers and help them meet their sales numbers for certain figures.

just had something similar on our X Trail and they gave us 28% discount (got 11% last time).

Maybe they'll offer a good trade-in price if you switch to an LC500! ...  !!!

Well I called up. 

Turns out they have 20 or so selected stock vehicles from Lexus UK at good prices. Offer runs out when all cars sell.

Prices are good but nothing there which interests me particularly.
