As these are now getting into the realms of owner servicing etc I thought I would add this info here about Battery removal or disconnection...

It is unusual to have to wait this long after switching off the ignition before disconnecting the Battery, failure to do this could lead to a rather expensive reprogramming of the navigation unit, the description of which takes pages and pages in the workshop manual...!!!

From the Lexus workshop manual.

NOTICE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) Battery terminal.

CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) Battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

Personally I'm going to put a note on my Battery to remind me...:thumbsup:
