I tend to put a bit more stock in the type of cover nowadays, last year for the IS-f for me & Mrs Rat was £  370.70.

If I'm being honest, there isn't a much difference in cover or service between any of the well known companies. NFU seem to always get good reviews and direct line are offering some really good extra benefits but as long as you recognise the brand you should generally just go with the cheapest option.

ahh the agreed value discussion again. If Adrian flux will do it then I need to give them a call given we know normal insurers will offer a terrible write off value; based in the other thread.

When it comes to getting a payout for your car you have to negotiate and be as tough as they are with you, dont forget they do it for a living and most people give up at the first fence. You wont get the decision you want unless you are prepared to do battle with them but if you do you will certainly end up with more than most people would have got.

not if you've got agreed value. There is nothing to negotiate.

as for arguing like a professional, it didn't do the poor sod who had his nicked much good AND at the time these cheap ones weren't on auto trader. If mine, 70k 08 was written off now I'd be lucky to get 14k for it sadly. However if argue id need 18/19 to buy an equivalent. As did Mr Had It Nicked not that it helped.

not a big fan of insurance as you can see, even though I've not been done over on a car yet I got stung on some office (loss of profits) cover where by they wouldn't pay me foe my time, but id id paid someone else for the same recovery work, they'd have paid heir bill. Gits.
