I changed front discs and pads last week, and noticed that there was quite a bit of fading / lacquer peel on the Calipers.

Anybody had the same problem? Did you have the Calipers painted or powder coated? If they were painted were they on the car or off? Any advice on which is best and why?

And finally any ideas where to get them done? I need to get them sorted as they're making my teeth itch!!!!

cheers

I've used this place before in Nottingham. Did a great job (I went for the high end option as at that time wasn't too much of a cost difference and ended up with a much better finish). They are fairly local so took my car to them rather than using the mail order thing they do...

Hi Norman

Spooky this and for Tims benefit my last car had an invoice in the documentation from this very same company.

Another blue Porsche with yellow calipers !

Now with my IS-F I have considered getting them painted, with anthracite wheels yellow would look good, but the 'F' blue would also be worthy of consideration.

Loving the wheels Paul! Hollow spokes? The Blue/yellow contrast looks fab!

Yes you are right they were hollow spokes, ceramics, reading the invoice they also refurbished the wheels, which is not so noticeable from the picture in a light anthracite.

Car gone now, very pleased with the IS-F you think some time going to get yourself back into the fold or you continue with the Germanic route !

I can't help re cost as I can't remember but I think I paid 100/calliper to get mine take off, stripped, painted and put back together.

Aye, I think blue callipers fitted well with the colour theme of the car. Blue stitching, blue badging etc

I do like a theme 😃

I would go for the blue theme also, found this online which looks in line with what I'd go for..

Like the look of that, would go well on mine, or Orange like the GS-F.

Looks like you also have the same colour interior as mine, any problems keeping it clean?

Yep is the best colour IMO, used to have a grey 2008 one and upgraded to this colour combo a couple of years later.

No probs keeping it clean, but don't have any kids so that helps.  Use Dodo Juice Supernatural Leather Cleaner and that removes any marks or stains including the wife's wax jacket marks!
