Just curious as to whether any member had looked at the pale green car that didn't sell.  It looked good in the pictures and with low mileage but only got as high as £1,250 which didn't make the reserve.

I saw that. My favourite colour in a 400. Would have looked if i didnt have an elgrand on the way from japan.  He wanted 2k for it

It looked good so I'm surprised it didn't sell.

im surprised bidding did'nt go higher and to be honest if condition and history are present then its a cracking car for £2k.

There is another dhp model on auto trader asking 5K!

Its probably not that good. Youd think someone would have had a look at it

Maybe, although I thought the same about my LS430 but people just didn't bother going to look, my gain though!

Im tempted to have a look and use it for a few months until my elgrands ready

Love them, I actually looked at these when I was considering my LS.

I know some of the age I looked at had an LPG conversion, but I think your engine is, more or less, the same as the 350Z, so wonder whether LPG would still be an option?

The Toyota Alphard is another nice van, often advertised as a Lexus like campervan, when converted.

Theres a few people running lpg on them on the elgrand forum.

Ill see how i go with it and maybe have it done. I looked at alphards but not keen on the shape.some of the higher spec ones are up with lexus levels of spec

I think they have the American Day Vans in mind when it comes to the interiors. There's a dealer near me that sells them and the one thing I notice is that they are not as wide as a European van.  If your looking for an MPV type vehicle these have got to be worth a look.

The older one i had which is the previous model looks very much like an american day van

Yes, that's the shape I was looking at, the newer shape was only just starting to appear over here, and was big money at the time.

Agreed on the Alphard, not as much of a looker as the Elgrand, but, like my long serving Hiace, pretty much bulletproof.

Regarding LPG, I think you're wise to see the van is a good one, before splashing out on a conversion, that's exactly what I did with the LS.

Anyway, hope it all goes well for you and look forward to some pics!
