Heated front screen question?

Is the is 220d heated  front screen the same as  other  manufacturers?  Tiny wires in  the screen .Mine has the switch for one but does not seem too work just wondering if at some point mine has had a standard  screen fitted   as i cant see any wires running through the screen .thanks in advance  j m

It's just the area under the parked wipers that is heated.

Perhaps not in Scandinavian countries where wind chill could freeze the blades to the screen while driving?

ive used it several times when weather gets cold, not as useless as you may think
