Hi gang

I have recently acquired a 2007 IS250 se auto which has keyless entry and other feature which I have not encountered before and , being a simple souls rather feel they are unnecessary complications. It has a start/stop button for the engine but no ignition lock. How can I use the electric features such as the hifi ,windows, mirrors etc without switching the engine on?

I am sure I have just given some of you a laugh so please help

Firstly let me agree with your thread title.

Once for the radio, twice for ignition on and to get use of the windows etc.

Or RTM.

Thank you wise ones.

I have now located the relevant section on page 109 of my owner's manual which seems to be the size of a novel. I had been labouring under the misapprehension that the start/stop button did only that.

A few weeks of this keyless entry and you will never want to go back to a conventional key. Wot, do I have stick this in somewhere? How old fashioned!

I do like the keyless entry system but wouldn't mind going back to using a key.

They are less overall trouble.
