Very true... I would add as well that Lexus seems to be in crisis of deciding of what they want to target... It seems they tried to shift from their casual clientele of old people appreciating reliability and quietness in the cars to younger audience. Clearly starting from CT, later Mk3 IS Lexus adopted very modern aggressive styling.. which doesn't really appeal to conservative clients who would rather prefer understated looks... much worse they not only change styling, but as well changed the whole concept of power delivery... Whilst historically Lexus had high volume engines which helped to move the cars effortlessly, now they switched to no yet polished hybrid system.. which doesn't really suit conservative clients, neither it suits younger drivers.. because again 8.6s is not exactly address their needs.

That in the way goes for advertising, I don't really see how Lexus can advertise RC/IS300h as ultimate drivers car.. simply because it isn't they they would be laughed at if they try to imply it.

So first of all they need to have complete range so that they can pick up the fight for likes Audi, BMW, MB.. and then they can make bold statements and aggressively advertise their cars. For example if you look to Lexus US page and click compare.. it doesn't compare 300h with 300h F-sport.. it compares it against other brands... That is because Lexus US, knows they have a competitive range and can pick up the glove....

If they try to do that in UK they look nothing more but looser... compare RC300h with anything and you get negative advertising.
