Have you taken it to the dealer? What's the latest?

I was 2 weeks ago at a dealer. They didn't find anything wrong. I have to go there again. I have 2 suspects:

1, exhaust pipe is resonating

2, petrol engine itself vibrates more than usual.

Number 2 is more likely, because exhaust is outside very quiet.

I must admit I couldn't hear anything unusual, but you know your car best. Hope you get it sorted.

I can't hear it too if i play it through quality bass speaker. Listening on Iphone i hear it very well.

sounds to me rather like an occasional vibration rather than a rattling !  .............  maybe something inside the glove box or the centre console ?

It comes from gear shift lever. If shift to P or D it rattles. If I shift to N it is quiet.
I am afraid of going to dealer. Disassembling interior panels and putting it together usually results in more squeaks.

If it was my car I would ask someone else to rev it while I located where the rattle was emanating from.  It is most likely something simple that a bit of foam would fix.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

It is still there, but less pronounced. Today i got it driving downhill. I decided overlooking it. If it get worse again, i will go to dealer.

My GS doesn't do it so it is a fault.  Fair enough if it doesn't bother you but rattles drive me mad fortunately not had any.

Could it be the prop shaft to fibrate so much. May be the centre bearing which make it feel like the gear lever.

This is exactly what i think.

Seems an unusual sound more of a drone, thats what makes me think its the prop shaft.

After a time this problem is not away, but I've done some observations:
1, There are squeaks in the dash when passing bumps on the road. It looks like something in glove box, but it is sound from deco molding and black soft plastics, it disappear when i touch them.

2, Despite it sounds like it comes from prop shaft, it is not a prop shaft. It is the same place on the dash.

3, My car doesn't feel as refined as it should. This week i was driving 2013 IS300h which should be slightly louder, but it was much quieter.

4, With ICE on while standstill and charging hybrid Battery, it is loud inside. ICE on but not charging, it is quiet.

5, Engine vibrates. Simple paper ticket from car park left in cup holder makes similar droning.

6, Service man doesn't see it abnormal.
