Lexus Ls 400 Mk 4. Euro 4 Compliant?

Just seen on the News that the new Mayor of London wants to have a zone that covers the area between the North and South Circular to become ULEZ, with a £12.50 a day charge from 2019.

As my 2000 Mk4 will probably have only got up to 120,000 on the clock by then and so ,just about run in, does anyone out there know if it is Euro 4 compliant ,and if not ,how can I make it so.

Damned if I am going to give up my Barge to keep a load of Yoghourt knitting ,Lycra wearing cyclists happy.

Euro 4 compliance wasn't started until 2005 so a 2000 LS400 cannot be included, the government website suggests contacting the vehicle manufacturer to see if it does meet the later requirements.

The engine is very clean mine even at 22 years old still passes an MOT based on an LS430 test with stricter emissions every year with ease and that's without manufacturer fiddled figures!

It's just another stealth tax at the end of the day to make up for the shortfall in council tax revenue.

I live in yogurt knitting, Lycra wearing cyclist country, we all rub along nicely - so maybe best time to be getting out of London.

I assume old Sadiq will not be banning the filthy dirty buses/lorries that seem to get away with pollution murder despite being one of the Euro compliant models.

I also guess they will not stop the air being polluted with all the sh*t they spout out every day from their ivory towers.

And one last point, if we do a Brexit then we need our own Bulldog standard, none of this Gauloises smoking, Herring Loving, Bratwurst admiring, Champagne socialist Euro Standard nonsense! I am sure The Pub Landlord would agree.
