Is it possible a Battery could be so dead that a ls wont start even by being jumped

Hi there

Something very similar happen to a Toyota Celsior I had years ago, turned out the Battery was good, the alternator was faulty, put a recon alternator on and it started first time

The Battery can be internally so bad it can't be charged enough to start.

Worth getting it checked before placing fingers in wallet.
