You obviously have good taste in music. :smile:

Do you have any pictures of actually dismantling the Battery itself?

Did you do in situ so you didn't have to disconnect cables?  Or was it just to heavy to get out? :smile:

The first set of pics show the Battery dismantled. It is heavy, at around 65kg, but there is ample room to do it in the boot. Its hard to lift the thing over the 4 bolts, 2 either side, but even if i had put it all on a trolley and brought it indoors, i would still need to get under it. 

I left each end hanging over the back of car (car mats protect the bumper) and then i could just turn the thing around and work on the other side.

Various wiring loom clips stayed in place. I cheated a little by leaving the 12v Battery where it was, and i didn't bolt each cell back, as theres a distinct lack of room to get underneath if you leave the wiring loom clips in place. If you bolt down cells 1, 2, 14, 25, 39 and 40, theres access from underneath, then everything should stay put

The entire unit was detached from the car, but left in boot. Largely because i'm lazy. But it worked! Another guy on here did a great write up, with pics, for the same job, but he took the thing indoors on a trolley, and i'm not sure if he replaced all the cells or just one

Quick delivery, well packaged, and good communications.  The one I used was DTV but there is also one called GTV.  DTV tended to be cheaper, sent good pictures of the parts and in the car they came from (all UK cars).

I can see you have used modules from the 1.8 ltr Prius. These module are an improvement on the 1.5 ltr Prius, and GS 450H in that they have two internal connections per cell between cells. This reduced the internal resistance allowing for higher current flow. It also reduced the amount of heat produced at high charge, and discharge current rates.

Does anybody have a grid charger/ discharger unit that they have used? i am thinking of investing in one but might be good to split the cost 🙂
