My 16 plate rx 450H premium has had two occasions when the multi informtion screen has flashed briefly all red.

I cannot find any refernce to this in the manual.

Any ideas what causes it and if action is required.

Hi Alan,

Might be worth giving your dealer a call, then post back what they say.

As your car is so new, you're a pioneer and if the issue is a future problem, you'll become very popular on search engines!

Could it be that you inadvertently changed the drive mode into sports for a moment? I've read that changes the display to red.. I would be interested to see any updates on this..hope you get it sorted!

This is caused by the Pre-Crash Safety collision avoidance system warning you that you are approaching an obstacle in front of the car at too high a speed and not braking. Page 310 of the manual refers. You can change the warning sensitivity and I have mine on the middle setting which prevents most red alerts.

I have had it flash when accelerating to overtake another car.
