after filling up with fuel, my fuel range hasn't reset to the extra distance, ie from 40 to 140 miles, its dropped down to 28 miles left even though i put fuel in.

Interesting - never had that problem yet. Have you reset all the other modes on the computer? Any other issues such as the time elapse reading?

it also didn't reset the miles since refill, yes i reset the average but to no avail.

Maybe disconnect the Battery for a couple of mins, it seems to work for resetting various clitch's

......  I have to rely on the old fashioned fuel gauge technology on my Mk3 ........  when the orange light comes on I know it's got about 100 miles left in the tank :whistling:

I rely more on that orange light even in the Mk4, then when it gets really low, the message low fuel comes up, but never risked working out exactly how much is left at that point, but I reckon about 20 to 30 miles commuting.
