All thats happened is that Lexus Stoke didn't think it was financially viable to repair. Therefore, they put it on the Lexus UK dealer network for sale and then Lexus Sidcup will have bought it from there.

It would be interesting to find out what exactly needed repairing and if the repair has been completed...I will make a phone call next week some point as I believe it may be going through prep at the moment

Bizarrely I had the exact same experience with Lexus Stoke earlier in the year. They put a 450 up for sale then decided it wasn't in good enough condition to sell me.

Well after 3 hours of haggling with the dealer yesterday I will be picking a GS450h gen 3 a week on Saturday. Car needs to go through prep. Has 53k on the clock full history and will be serviced prior to handover along with a 12 months MOT.

Silver, SE-L, 2010 - The car was priced at £13400, £14795 with 3 years warranty, Lexus SMART repair, GAP insurance, 12 months fresh MOT, Service, 12 months Road tax and full tank of fuel oh and managed to reduce the APR to around 5.6 from a ridiculous 10.7

That is some discount.

I do think it was overpriced at £14995, but £12495 seems rather a good price.  Perhaps it has been sitting around too long and they are desperate to get rid of it?

They've had it in for around 6 weeks or so. I had my eye on it in case I couldn't find another IS 250.

It was initially discounted to £13995 before the latest price drop.

It's quite a tidy car in person too.  Black interior is a bit dull with the exterior but otherwise now a pretty good price, with 1 years' Lexus warranty.

Silver was the priority colour for me, there was one at Exeter but they weren't entertaining my requests for more pictures hence they lost out on my custom. It was priced at £14600  with 33k on the clock and I offered £13k as a starting point for negotiating over the phone but they thought I was taking the mick. I asked repeatedly what they can come down to and the answer I kept getting was the asking price and then eventually £100 off was the answer. I'm sorry but to travel from North Manchester to Exeter for £100 off is not going to motivate me. 

This one in Sidcup however where do I start....The smile I had on my face when I floored it from 0-80 with Mo (the salesman as passenger) probably cut the chances for more negotiation. Can't wait to pick it up next Saturday have a bit of fun for a week then book it in for detailing.

 

Anyone if there is an Aux connection available in the 10 plate ?

Picked the beast up on Saturday.....enjoying every second of it especially when coming off a slip road to join the motorway !!!!!!!!!

Mine has both USB and Aux.

Treat the car with the utmost respect as it is potentially a licence taker.

Am I being thick or am I right in saying the SE-L does not even have full total closure from the fob ? My cousin has an is220d and his comes with full closure so I would at least expect this on a GS

I can't say for sure, but I would be surprised if it didn't.

I assume you held down the lock or unlock button on the fob for several seconds and nothing happened?

Held it for more than a couple of seconds still no luck

Mine was like that a trip to dealer and he did it in about 10 min no charge

It's "programmable by dealer" setting 26 in personalised settings for GS450h. And it's a three second press. The default is to not to open all windows and slide roof back.
