The rubbers on the drivers door when I open it, sticks to the rubbers on the  door frame, I have cleaned it but it still sticks it was once mentioned on here that the way to stop it happening was to put some grease on the rubber, if anyone knows what type of grease to use can you let me know

                                 Cheers Norman.

I use a Rubber Care Stick called "Gummi Pflege Stift" which you can get from eBay or amazon. The description of this says " Gummi Pflege provides long lasting protection against freezing for rubber seals in car doors, windows and boots.it also conditions helping to prolong the life of rubber seals against cold, heat and UV radiation from the sun".  I use it in the winter to stop the doors jamming shut when really icy and it also helps if the rubbers are dry and brittle and need softening up again. it also gives a really nice looking shine as well.

That last point is interesting.  Have you real experience of it softening hard rubber?

I've been searching for an alternative to immersing a rubber boot in Wintergreen and Rubbing Alcohol (if I could find these products) as a way to soften the Carb Air inlet boot that fits my Yamaha Twin.  How is the stuff applied?

runsgrateasanut  -not sure if it would do what you want. The stuff comes in a small can and has a foam piece on the end and you rub that foam piece on the rubber and the liquid comes through, but it can be quite greasy . You then leave it to dry for a short time.
