Power boot beep

Sorry, another post I know bit does anyone know if its possible to turn off the beep when you open the boot/tailgate?

I'm pretty sure the answer is no. For safety feature will be the reason.

Not seen anything about that, but I need it to make sure the boot is reacting to me pressing the key, it can sometimes take a while to do so and the beep confirms it is about to open, albeit slowly.

Its worth checking the owners manual - theres a section which says "Customization" or something along the lines of that.

If it can be done, itll be in there but most likely its a dealer thing only compared to the ones you can do yourself.

Had a quick check of the manual, the only customisation is the height the door opens to.

Yes, I tried different heights, but you can't get anything in or out unless it is fully open, so a bit pointless to be honest. :)

Its only really for height restricted garages I reckon.

The beep has saved my son a few times from wacking his head on it - hes at a height half way between the bumper and the top of the car which doesn't help.

I will just have to live with it.  I know there are some car configuration settings that are dealer set only, will check them before the next service.
