Probably, Opie provide 6 litres as a service pack, which does the job with a drop left over.

Yep 5W-30.

I've got Shell Helix HX7 AF in at the moment. Runs well. I've used Magnatec in my Jag 4ltr. and like it. Even the budget oils are pretty decent nowadays.

If you get 6ltrs you will be fine with the filter change. I'm sure I put over 5.4 in though to get it to the mark.

Hugh, I've just done an oil/filter change and put in 5 litres of  5W-30 fully synthetic. It reads 7/8 full on the dipstick. You don't want to overfill it. That will cause too much pressure and could cause a gasket leak, long term.

I use 5W/30 as well but semi-synthetic - so far I have used Millers Trident as it meets the specification in the Owners Handbook.

I put 5 litres in for an oil and filter change, which leaves it a little bit below the maximum - I think 5.5 litres is needed to fill it to the maximum level.

Neither car ever seems to use any oil between changes, so 5 litres always keeps the level well up the dipstick.
