Hi Folks,

I have a small issue in that the passengers door card light is dimly lit, whereas the drivers door card light is brightly lit.

I probed the back of the connectors with the lights disconnected and both show a healthy 12-13v reading, when i connect the light up and probe the back of the connectors the passengers side drops to 5-6v and the light is very dim, where as the drivers side stays about the same voltage and the light is bright.

Does this sound like a ground issue with the passengers side light?

any help would be much appreciated.

thanks

John

Long shot - is the bulb on the way out?

Sadly it's not that, tried new bulbs, LEDs also do the same

thanks for the input though, any other thoughts ?

I'd be inclined to say poor ground somewhere in the circuit.

Might be best getting a local auto sparky to look at it. Sounds like you've done all you can, unless you feel confident removing the door card?

Hope you get it sorted.

Hi. Had the same problem on my is200 - but with the drivers door light. When I tested it was showing 8 volts. I sorted mine by cleaning the internal light door switch. Hope that helps.
