New wheels with strange bolts

Recommended Posts

Been looking for a while for some different wheels for the LS and finally found a set in good condition with nearly new tyres not too far from me and for a reasonable price.

Being aftermarket I needed some spigot rings as the bore is 72.5 and Lexus are 60.1 but these were easily (coincidently just arrived from amazon as I write).

I thought the holes for the wheel nuts looked very narrow and this was confirmed when after a shed search I found my set of taper nuts and they dont even go into the hole, turns out I need some special "Tuner nuts" which are a narrower nut with a hex key fitting in the top, found a set on fleabay for under £20.00.

Something new I've learnt today.

The only green LS I have bought was on behalf of another LOC member and that was a series III, I did buy a silver series IV on an R plate and sold that to a mate, I now have another V plate in silver.

The only other one I still have is the blue series II which is being broken for spares.
