LS 430 Headlamp dip conversion

Hi

I am in the process of buying a 2002 lexus 430 as my retirement car and want to take it to Spain where it will be re-registered on Spanish plates.

I understand that instead of the headlamp dipping to the left they actually flatten downward and so will not need to be converted to a right hand dip. Is this the case?

It would be nice to be reassure by someone who has actually done it and knows.

 Dipped headlights on the continent are a very strict criteria and especially in France if you intend to transit through on your way to Spain.You will be pulled off the road and made to address the the issue if the police suspect they are wrongly adjusted.

I would take the car to a Lexus dealership and ask them to adjust them at least that way you are sure to be within the law.
