Has anyone used a hard or soft roof rack of any type which can be recommended? I need to transport a couple of surfboards this summer and unsure what to utilise. Any tyhoughts much appreciated. I toying with the possibility of a soft strap type but worried about damage

I too tried to figure out the best solution to transporting larger stuff with my IS-F.

Solved the problem by buying a 1998 Range Rover which now sits alongside the IS-F on my drive and has the advantage of requiring less computerisation to tinker with.

Interestingly, my wife has decided she prefers the IS-F and doesn't want to drive the Rangie, ever. Though she is being increasingly tempted away from her Jazz by the F.

I had thule roof bars for my IS-F which conveniently also fitted on my wife's IS 220d. They worked very well for 3 mountain bikes

:rifle:  if you thought about putting anything on my ISF.

30mins later the misses had roof rails on her car.

I got the roof bars and 2 bike holders from my Lexus garage.  From memory they're generic IS ones used to fit all saloons of that age.

I've still got the oem is250 roof bars which I'm told will also fit my ISF.  Used with a thule ranger 90 last summer, which worked well for general stuff but no idea if it would suit your needs. The only reason we went for the bag style was because it can be folded/stored easily, compared to the rigid box.
