IS200T stop start

Just dawned on me today, as these cars are quite spirited and I'm certainly enjoying that fact at the moment, an issue has dawned on me. The stop start activates by depressing heavily on the brake pedal, the engine restarts when pedal released so you have to keep the brakes firmly on otherwise whats the point. If you've been hammering the car surely the disks are going to warp being as you're holding the brake pads on the disk? Or is there a way of changing the mode of operation that I'm missing?

You can put the car in park and use the handbrake/footbrake, but can be a bit fiddly.

In addition if you keep the car in sport mode the stop start is switched off.

Probably, be ok I guess. Not very relaxing keeping your foot planted on the brake though
