About to contact a 99K mile Ser 4, for sale on Autotrader.....it's GONE! Not sure if sold (they don't say) but it was only 15 miles from me; S-wales at a guess.

the pricing of the ls400 is all over the place, i just had a look on autotrader

I'm keeping my 1999 series IV with 137,000, cambelt all done, brakes all serviced and full service to do yet.

My other LS is on classic insurance so I have full NCB to insure this one.

Yes. Sounded worth a look, especially so close. Though I DID think I'd decided to get something smaller, hence my recent tempter (Celica) but more likely Forfour Auto (Smart). But I have good memories of cruising in the LSs......
