Hi all

Just left a deposit for a Nissan 300zx but paintwork needs addressing. Just needs a light "flash spray" I was told.

Any recommendations of good body shops in the buckinghamshire / Berkshire / Hertfordshire areas

Thanks

Great one my way in Derbyshire but little use to you, have you actually seen the car yet as peoples perceptions vary enormously when describing what's what?

Light flash spray....heavy drizzle, hailstones....tornado!

I'd never heard of that phrase before either ?

Yes, saw the car on Tuesday, poor paint on rear arch where owner has tried to chemically remove some rust bubbling and spray over. Rear spoiler is fibre glass could also do with skimming and painting as it is showing some bobbling. Small crease in other arch that needs pulling out and light filler. Problem is if I do the rear of the car the front will look old...so might as well do the whole thing. It's a small car so hoping it is not much.

I may be in Nottingham soon so maybe Derbyshire is an option ?

wow, you're brave buying a car with doubtful paintwork that you're thinking of having professionally sorted !

Would have thought a " whole " car wouldn't cost more than a few £000s to sort out properly  .........  my son-in-law is a professional car painter and there really isn't a cheap fix for a proper and legally painted job these days  ( all those rules and regulations on types of paint, spray booths and the like )

Good luck with it whatever

Thanks Malc, I was more concerned about all the mechanicals and rot, which the servicing garage said were all taken of care of. Paint and bodywork was next his list but costs starting mounting up so he cut his losses. From a distance it all looks great but when standing next to it the imperfections are obvious.
