Hi LOC,

Just a quick introduction. My name is Alex, though most people call me Sparky. I'm 22 years old and live in Staffordshire.

Last Christmas of 2015 I decided to treat myself to a Lexus IS200, it's a car that I've always liked so I thought why not.

I have plans to make some slight modifications, at the moment the only thing I have had done are window tints. I would like to fit coilovers and have it sitting fairly low to the ground. I know I'll sacrifice comfort but I'm okay with that. Recommendations will be appreciated. I have set a budget of around a grand to spend on suspension.

I am not really interested in tuning modifications as my mechanical knowledge isn't great and I wouldn't know what to look for if things started to go wrong.

I have read through the T&C's and am happy to be here.

I'll look forward to meeting a few of you at the regional meets.

HI Sparkyx, Your car looks absolutely brilliant for its age, am sure it is a well cared for example, happy motoring.

Hi Fatts,

Yes, I was pretty lucky in the fact it was previously my boss' car. She had owned the car for 15 years from new and it only has 52k on the clock with FSH and the biggest expenses out of the way. The paintwork is very good, other than some slight paint flaking on the front bumper and some very slight swirl marks which I'll be able to polish out when the good ol' British weather allows.

It had recently failed MOT on "weathered tyres" which have since been replaced with Yokohama AD08R's all round. I spent more money on the tyres than I did on the actual car!! Haha.

That looks like a super example of an IS200, if it's been cheaper than a set of tyres then it looks like you've bagged a bargain. Enjoy!

Hi Alex and welcome to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over.

We recommend you spend a couple of mins looking over the rules of the LOC, we will be asking questions later.
