Hi,

As the title says, what is the best technique or regenerative braking?

A. Foot off the gas pedal early and slow down on engine braking.

B. Progressive braking with the needle just balancing slightly above the bottom on the charge section.

C. Strong braking with the needle firmly on the bottom of the charge section.

I read somewhere that when in the most efficient regeneration zone it feels a little like when you ABS kicks in.

interested in what everyone's opinion is

C - most inefficient way to brake. This is the point at which your mechanical brakes take over so all you're doing is heating up the pads/discs and losing energy

A - doesnt seem to work for me. Car just doesn't slow down, it keeps going.

B - Probably the best method but should be in the middle of the charge section, not near the bottom. It shouldn't feel like ABS is kicking in at all.

Great regenerative currents in HV Battery are not so efficient because of loss of energy in heat; so the most efficient regeneration it's obtained not braking :-) ; of course if you need to brake better to do it softly for the longest time possible.
