new car is 200d f sport

hi folks im just about to buy my first lexus i have a choice of 2 a 2012 is200d advance or a 2011 is200d f sport is there any bad points or 1 i should avoid any help would be much appreciated thanks

Read up as much as you can about the diesel IS. There is loads here on this forum to make you think.

Forewarned is forearmed ... you need to be considering this with your eyes wide open.

For what it's worth .. I'd look at the IS250 Auto. It's a cracking good (seemingly bullet proof) car and will return very similar mpg to what I see diesel IS drivers getting.

The Auto variant (£290) is cheaper on Road Tax than the Manual (£490) ..... well, in the UK it is.

Sorry, I don't mean to burst your bubble ... but you need to find out the facts of what can go wrong and the money pit that may develop.
