Hi guys,

Need some help please. I have noticed there is bit of gap between front tyres and arches. Gap is bigger than rears.

Rear tyres sit nicely under arches but front gap is quite noticeable.

My questions are :

1. is there a way to adjust this by pressing few buttons etc ?

2. I know there are adjuster near lower arm which you can adjust to adjust height ? is that correct and can i just do it my self ?

3. Should I take it in to Lexus main dealer. ( £105 an hour to check )

Please advise whats best way to drop front a bit.

many thanks

hi

my 430 had I think 3 ride heights - if you put the switch to the lowest setting does the front gap match the rear ?

the senors fail - looks like the nearside rear doesn't recognise its supposed to be on a higher ride height.

do you have an independent Lexus specialist anywhere near you ?

The front gap is always much, much bigger for some reason, mine is exactly the same, and so was my last one.  They always seem to look like they are down at the back as well. When you switch to high the rear should rise by about an inch.

mine looks exactly the same as already said above.

just remember to flick the switch from high to low to keep things moving and free

Hi Mark

Your car looks spot on to me - exactly like mine did when it had air suspension and now when it does not.  It can be confusing and after 14 years I often look twice.

Check the door trim is level for a good indication and make sure you are on level flat ground.

I only have 2 height settings. Normal and High.

Also found these two pictures while browsing net. I am not sure if i should play with front sensors and drop them.

Seems like easy diy job.

but not sure if i should mess around ?

Hi

sorry what you mean by door trim is level ?

if i remember correctly those are pictures posted by Chris Haylands - he was a very active member here a few years back and was often doing small jobs on his LS and posting pictures up including a very detailed write up of his LPG install.

Chris adjusted his for the same reason - if its really bugging you and your confident enough then give it a go.

Don't fix what's not broke, if you try adjusting it yourself and things go wrong you'll only kick your self.

I couldn't agree more.  The suspension on these as we all know can be troublesome, and for that reason alone I'd stick with the way it was designed.

Although.........my last one was down on one side at the back so I did have the sensor adjusted to raise it a bit, but I'm sure it's not ideal.

ok so after reading your comments I have come to conclusion. Correct me please if I am wrong.

1. car looks normal and height seems fine.

2. dont touch it or mess about with height sensors and leave it as it is

Thanks all.
