Climate diverter motor

Hi all, have a RX400h and have noticed that there is an annoying clicking coming from inside the dash and the air will only come out at my feet, won't send air out the other vents is this a common issue?

I've certainly heard of these servo motors causing problems before.

I've recently changed that servo on my GS430, I can upload the pics later if it helps?

Is it easy got to or is it a dash out for the RX model

I would assume, although I don't know for sure, that it would be similar to the GS, glove box out and maybe cd changer if it is in the glove box. You should at least be able to figure it out with the glove box out I expect.

There is another thread regarding this issue with links to a US owner who did a repair himself, try having a search. I think "clicking" would be a good "keyword" for the search.

It happened on my RX.

Drove me mad.

Getting the motor changed, fixed it.
