Hi there, my name is Simon and I have been lurking on the forums for a while now. I bought my 1996 gold ls400 with 148500 miles on her about 5 months ago for the princely sum of £600.00, she had one weeks mot left on her, both front wings have a small amount of car park damage, it leaked in water when it rained, needed new drop links and track rod ends on the front and a full set of disks and pads.

The upside was it had full dealer service upto 118000, two cambelt changes one at 60000 and the second at 122000, she runs sweet as a nut, the gearbox is silky smooth and has a nearly unmarked interior.

So far I have spent less than £400.00 replacing parts including servicing and fresh mot and I must admit I love her, in all my 30 years of driving I have never been this impressed with a 20 year old car.

Hope to contribute on this forum as I gain knowledge of this wonderful car.

Hi Simon and welcome to the LOC, we are a friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer left over. Sounds like the Lexus bug has bitten you and I am happy to say there is no cure.

We recommend you spend a couple of mins looking over the rules of the LOC, we will be asking questions later.
