hid flicker

I think one of the head light hid flickers. anyone seen such a thing before ?

Had it when the bulb was at end of life. Replacing the bulb solved the problem.

I am reading that D4s Philips in 4300k matches the OEM. Is this correct ? What does OEM use BTW ? And on eBay I see Philips D4s from cheap to expensive. .. why... are there fake stuff ?

It is also best to replace them in pairs. Osram are also a good bulb, dont buy the cheap, they are cheap for a reason. 4300k - 5000k are the best ones to get.

Which one does OEM Lexus use ? Philips or osram ? Can anyone please confirm the part number and the color ? Thanks.

Take the one that flickers out, and it will have which make printed on it.

Yes a right pain for sure. Just buy them from eBay. Dealer will want £100.00 a bulb. How do you know they have never been changed.

Its not only that, Philips 0sram are the better quality ones. Does it not say in the owners manual.

I just had a quick google. There is a how to on the forum, also states the bulb. Osram CBI D4S

Per bulb yes and yes, more blue hue than oem

Another question is, will it fail mot or is there a chance of coming as an advisory?

It wont fail mot, 5000 is not that blue. 6000k and above upto 12000k is when they go bluer to purple in colour. I would opt for something around 40.00 a pair.

Wont last as long as oem, but bulbs start to degrade after a certain time anyway. Should last a couple of years any way.

Any D4S bulb is suitable. 

 

Lexus OEM bulb is Toshiba 4300K. Other good quality bulbs are Philips and Osram. I have Philips and they have been fine.
