hi all, i am trying to diagnose my ABS light staying on. I recently replaced the rear hub, but didn't touch or dislodge the sensor, and everything seems in order, visually.

I bought the following item off amazon, it has plenty of good reviews, yet i can't get it to connect to my lexus. I tried a friends toyota, and same thing!

I am using a laptop with windows 7. The USB connections are good, and the cable lights up when connected. Please help! I don't want to be ripped off by the stealer

Interesting product - i might get one of these too.

The reviews on amazon state that to run it on Win7 & instead of XP that - "When installing it , I set the option to run it in XP-SP3 compatibility mode."  Have you done this too?  (i couldn't tell you how to do that though! - perhaps it's one of the boot options on the laptop ?)

Be really good to hear how you get on with it - before i buy it!

Yes the ignition is on.

The techstream I bought was 15 quid on amazon, but like I say, it has good user reviews.

The cable lights up when plugged in, but I get the message saying 'problem connecting to VIM.

I really need to clear the ABS light, as well as the PCS light and the Orange exclamation mark.

I would also like to use the software to check which of my 40 hybrid Battery cells are below par. See pic

Please help!

Installation Instructions For Mini VCI (these instructions where supplied with mine)
Please make sure your windows system is 32bit(Windows xp or 7), the 64bit system may cause problems.

step1. install "TIS_Techstream_Setup.exe"

step2. After software installation open C:\Program Files (x86)\Toyota Diagnostics\Techstream\Env\IT3System.ini,
and change "TISFunction = 1" to "TISFunction = 0".

Save.

2.1 Install "MVCI Driver for TOYOTA.msi"
DON'T UPDATE DIAGNOSTIC CABLE FIRMWARE, IT WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE!!!

step3. Run the "Techstream" on desktop,

3.1 Select the area as "Europe",
3.2 Select the language you want,
3.3 The register information, you can write everything you want, fill all the blank, then OK.

If you have purchased a valid license from Toyota for Techsteam then you would have access to the manuals too. If you have purchased an illegal copy of the software with hacked licensing for less than 1% of the true cost of the product then this cannot be discussed here.
