Anyone live in Bury St Edmunds?

A bit of a long shot.

There's a breakers in Bury St Edmunds that have a front grille for an LS400 but they won't post.  So I wondered if anyone in that part of the world would be able to pick it up and get it packed and posted to me.  A bit of an ask I know, but it's worth a try.

Thanks

Phil

I bet it's to replace that modified VIP badged grille Phil, it actually has a slat cut out of it to accomodate the badge.

I once had a similar problem and got around it by sending a suitable box stuffed with bubblewrap and a prepaid return label using one of the cheap online couriers ( I use Myhermes but others are available). All the seller had to do was wrap the bubble wrap around the part put it in the box, reseal it and stick the label on, they even collect.

Total cost both ways should be under a tenner.

Correct young man!

That's actually not a bad idea.  I've contacted the breakers asking if they'll do that.  They only want £30 for the complete grille which isn't bad.

Steve, as you're a MK4 owner now, can you measure the grille for me so I know what size box to get?

Thanks

I'll measure it up for you over the weekend as at work all week and dark when leaving and getting back, it needs new bonnet struts so rather lift it up and brace with the wood stick in good light.
