Gold membership question

Sorry admin if this is a subject to be raised else where but I have sent a private message but had no response.

i had a question regarding using the gold membership discount at Lexus main dealers.

i recently tried to see if I could get my 15% of parts purchased through my local Cheltenham Dealer.

i was told that I am only entitled to the discount of parts if the parts are being fitted by Lexus themselves at the garage.

this may well be correct as I haven't tried any other dealers to see if the answer is the same.

perhaps someone could clarify.

however, I would say that it is misleading as it clearly states on the various sites that members are entitled to the discount of parts, servicing and labour. What it doesn't mention is that it's only applicable when fitted by the garage.

That was never the case in the past. Although not all dealers would give discount, so it does seem like they make their own interpretations.

will probably find its just Cheltenham. If I do find out that others honour the discount then I'll be ordering parts else where in future as Cheltenham always seem to make everything so difficult.
