OK, without going into the embarrassing detail, I am now needing another smart key as one of mine has been ahem......damaged! Can anyone advise me what I can do or how to go about getting a replacement. I'm guessing a new key from lexus will be the same price as a deposit on a holiday in the Maldives. Cheapest answers will get a "like". Many thanks.

yes - best way is to get one from lexus - cost is around £180 including the programming - you will need to provide car ownership details.

Even if you buy a second key from the UK - you will still need to take it to lexus to get it programmed to perform smart entry and start functions.

don't be tempted to buy a cheap key from the USA - they do not work as they operate on a different frequency

Get four brilliant A' Level grades

Gain a place at Oxford where you can study for a degree in Physics

Follow this through with a Master's degree

Now carry out research gaining a PhD after another three years

Build your own research lab, employing the best brains in the world.

Invent the world's first cloning machine

Clone the original key

That has to be cheaper than getting one from a dealer, and having it programmed :whistling:

Do I get a like?

So if it's possible to buy another key in the UK, any idea on the cost of it being reprogrammed? Thanks.
