Exporting A Vehicle

Guy need some advise.

I am planning on exporting a 2013 vehicle. Now the trader seller is vat registered and says he can only return vat of he gets bill of lading. my situation is that I want to keep the car for a month or two at most so I can do any repair work that needs be done.

The ultimate buyer is in a non eu country who has requested for the vehicle and preparing to transfer me funds for it.

My question are:

Should I purchase the vehicle on my name and then export it? Will I be able to claim VAT? Do I need to create a company for it ? if yes then what type?

What are my options? Should I purchase the vehicle and not transfer the ownership to myself till I export it ?

Since this is first time for me, I will not be making money.

I would have thought contacting your local VAT office will give you a definitive answer. Mike.
