Glad to hear it, I wasnt aware there are 2 screens for postcode.

Usually I just click on destination > 2nd page > postcode and that gives full 7 digit postcode for me.

If you go into the first destination screen you get the postcode but only 5 digits.

My sat Nav has topped reading the DVDs. Any clues?

Hmm no idea - what model do you have?

Hi Rayaan. I have a Jan 2004 RX 300 converted to LPG.

Nav system has been working fine for years, both in uk and abroad. The disc was replaced by Lexus dealer some years ago, so it's genuine. The message is something like "cannot read DVD data - check correct map disc inserted" . I have removed it and cleaned it, but there is nothing obvious and no loose connections etc.

Could be to do with the disc itself. Might be heavily scratched etc

I had thought so, but I removed the disk and cleaned it. It's immaculate, and I can't see any damage. Besides, It has worked for a few years at home and abroad.

In another thread someone else has replaced the reader with one from an IS. I have seen a Toyota Avensis unit that has one digit different (final digit) and it looks identical. Not sure if I should take the risk.

Thanks anyway.

If it helps, I know the Avensis unit does look identical in operation to our Lex ones except it had more buttons on the head unit....
