F'd Up My Lcd Screen

Recommended Posts

I thought I'd give the interior a good clean. The lcd screen looked a bit dirty so used my eyeglass cleaning solution. Sprayed the stuff on and lo n behold the lad screen now looks a mess. The ar or ag coating has come off in patches. Wtf. The eyeglass cleaner says no grass chemicals!!!!!

Thinking of using a cleaner to remove it all!

Any suggestions?

Common issue on the IS screen. The manual states wipe with damp cloth and don't use any chemicals.

What's happened is the anti reflective coating has come off. In my opinion the coating does little to help reflections so just remove it all

Removed the anti glare stuff of the screen. Slight covering left near the edges. Will give it a good clean with Polywatch and clean up.

Has anyone used a screen protector. amazon seem to have the Lexerd screen protectors but as its from the USA, the model numbers are a bit confusing. Thinking of ordering this one: 2015 IS250 IS350. Is that the correct version for the 2014 IS300h?

Thanks in advance.

Yeah should fit fine thats the correct one. RC350 and IS350 have the same dash so itll work.

No idea why you'd need it though, the only thing that comes off is the LCD screen anti-reflective coating (which is the same as the ones put on glasses and they scratch too!). The actual screen itself wont scratch unless you're regularly putting things near it.

if you really want / need the anti glare you could try these off eBay @ £2.95 inc p&p for 2

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hellfire-Trading-2x-Anti-Glare-Matte-Screen-Protector-for-Kindle-Fire-HD-10-/391300033079?hash=item5b1b4caa37:g:TwUAAOSwAYtWJ29g

they are for a 10" kindle fire just cut them down to size and put on your screen.
