Hey everyone!

I just bought a 1998 imperial jade GS300 with 143k miles. I'm from Czech Republic and also have NB Miata, KE70 and two AE86 Corollas.

Interior is beige(?) and smells, because the car stood for a year outside and some rodents found their way inside. It stood because the transmission gave up.

I got it from a guy that replaced the transmission and got a couple spare parts for it, but then decided to sell it.

I'll have a lot of annoying questions because the car's jerking while I stop at operating temps, the remote locks just the rear doors, at least one of the front right ball joints is toast and so on

It's bone stock at the moment and all I have planned for upcoming year is maintenance

Dobre den.

Welcome to the LOC.

I had a GS300 for a short while but then returned to the LS400, unusual for tranmissions to fail in Lexus cars the Aisin units are pretty bulletproof.

Not sure about the jerking but would be checking for mouse chewed wiring in the engine bay, door lock solenoids probably stuck in the front doors, ball joints easy and cheap to replace.

yeah, I've just ordered on of those BT OBD2 readers to see if there are any codes to pull... CEL's not on, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone went ahead and just removed the bulb

Hi and welcome to the LOC, we are a
friendly bunch and some of us even know how to pull them to bits and
put them back together again, with of course the one bolt and washer
left over.

We recommend you spend a couple of mins
looking over the rules of the LOC, we will be asking questions later

I cant help with your present queries
but I'm sure someone will be along ASAP.

Thanks!

Why does the car have a port labeled OBDII when it's not OBDII compliant... I got the OBD reader and it won't connect
