Hi there im new here and happy to join. Ive read lots of threads of lowering springs and still cant find the right answer. i have 05reg which doesnt look very high as others. today i had a look into springs trying to find any name on them or logo, but seems original, noticed on shocks toyota some japanese writings and KYB. Why i did that? want to make sure it is not equiped with some Eibachs or others which as i said car looks not very high, thought maybe it has SPORT springs because its been made end of the productions years. So yeah im still after Eibachs 30mm because of the quality would prefer bigger drop maybe 40mm. my fear is could it be on Sport's springs which are 15mm lower and installing Eibachs 30mm, will i get only 15mm drop? will i get decent 30mm drop dont mind even more. im adding pics how it looks and some measures from the ground to arches. btw 17'' 215 zr45.

as i understand it sport springs are 15mm lower so you will only get a further 15 - 20 mm drop as is is based on standard springs

I got eibach on mine with new kyb shocks to be honest I wish id gone lower as the front looks exactly how I want it but the rear is still pretty high considering iv lowered it 30mm personally I think if you want a noticeable drop go 40mm or get coilovers so you can play about and have it how you want it

Ali, I couldn't agree more. I went with Eibach and the front was great but I hated the arch gap at the rear as the car has a nose down stance as standard. If you go with 50mm Tenzo springs the back looks great but the front may need sorting and too low to drive around town and rub the arch liners. Also -50mm on standard shocks wont give you the best ride and the more you lower it the more the alignment is out as the standard set up can't be adjusted enough to compensate and you scrub the tyres.

I know a lot don't care and just slam their cars to the floor, but I went to coilovers to get the best "flat" look and adjust the height so I can still drive where I want without ripping the exhaust or spoilers off. I still need to get arm adjusters to get the perfect set up, but I like to do things properly.

Lots of options you can have, just decide what you actually want and go for it
