I'm still learning about my car, only got it last Friday. Someone tapped on my side window this week to ask me if I knew I had no rear lights, turned out I just had the daytime running lights on [emoji5]

Anyway, back to my main question, the front parking sensors don't seem very responsive. They're working as I've got someone to walk in front of them, but they don't go off when I'm parking up and aren't as sensitive as my last car. They seen to be located on the side of the bumper rather than the front

I don't want to damage the bumper by testing them out, is this the norm or should they be more responsive?

The sensors are not very good at picking up objects diectly in front of the car and I only trust them to plck up objects on the front quarters eg turning into a parking space at an angle.

Funny enough I have picked up my 2013 premier and thought the front sensors were not working at first. I see you can adjust the rear sensors for sensitivity but not the fronts. I am surprised for a Lexus that they are pretty poor.

Thanks guys. At least I know what I'm experiencing is "normal".

I don't think I have the option to adjust the rears on my SE stompe.

Does any one have a theory why the front sensors are crap.......... Is it the sensors or the software?

It's where they are positioned. There's only two of them. They protect the corners OK but because of their position they miss objects directly ahead. The sensitivity seems fine.

Be interesting if anyone has done a mod or something to improve the system.
