Starlight Black Worth Getting?

Looking at getting an IS300h, and was thinking of getting the extra metallic black, but having a look at the normal black with the showroom shine, it looks pretty nice.

The Sales guys in the dealer were trying to talk me out of it aswell, that noone ever gets it on the IS300h.

Any thoughts?

Black paint is a pig when it comes to keeping it clean,swirl marks, may be worse with a deeper black?

My son had to have a black car, bought one and then regretted every day after that because it would never stay clean. Don't buy black. Mike.

Look great when kept well, but as others have said it needs almost daily attention.

I had a metalic black Citroen BX & then later a Jaguar S-type in metalic black both looked wonderful.

But took a lot to keep looking clean & cared for , just depends how much time you have & if like cleaning it.
